Dong Ba Market Food Stalls
The food section at the back of Hue’s main market — the cheapest and most concentrated introduction to the city’s cooking.
Dong Ba is the city’s central market, and the food section at the back of it is where to eat rather than the stalls near the entrance. Bun bo Hue, banh canh, che and com hen are all here, each from a vendor who makes one thing.
It is loud, hot and cash-only, and it is the best value eating in Hue by a wide margin. Go at breakfast or mid-morning; many vendors sell out and close.
This is a collection of stalls rather than one restaurant, so treat the location as the market’s food hall.
