Les Jardins de La Carambole
French-Vietnamese cooking in a colonial villa a short walk from the Citadel’s southern gate.
A colonial-era villa with high ceilings, tiled floors and a long wine list, serving French dishes alongside Vietnamese ones and a few that sit between the two.
It is the most formal restaurant in this list and prices reflect that, but it is also the easiest place in Hue to have a long, unhurried dinner. The location — just outside the Citadel walls — makes it a natural end to a day spent inside them.
Booking is sensible in high season.
