Madam Thu is where a lot of visitors have their first proper introduction to Hue food, and it earns that by serving the small dishes the city is known for as a set rather than making you order six things you have not heard of.

Banh beo, banh loc, banh nam and nem lui arrive together, in portions sized for tasting. The room is narrow and fills early; the staff are used to explaining what everything is.
